MENU'S - Are they all pretty much the same on all Carnival?
I was looking at the menu's and it seems that they are all pretty much the same on all 7 night trips on all the Carnival ships. I notice that every night is usually the same no matter what ship you are on - like the Spirit's first night is the same as the Pride's first night and so on and so on.......
Is this true or is this what most of you have experienced or does each ship have different menu's?
Yes,
I think they are exactly the same...I sailed the Legend in the Caribean in August. I sailed the Victory in Sept to Canada/NE.....the menu was the same on the same day...

pretty much try on other cruiselines. I was told that they usually work on a 7 day menu plan. If the cruise is more then 7 days or less then they change their menu plans. When we where on the Panama in 2006 (22 days) , the menu changed a little bit every couple of weeks.

Yes, it is pretty much the same on every sailing and every ship. According to the number of days the cruise it. Even though it is the same it never gets old becuase the food is so good and there is more than one choice of food. I think some of the things change with the season but I am not sure. Also some new things get added.

We find that the selection is the same, but the TASTE may well be a bit different from ship to ship. I think the chef does "his thing" with the food as far as preparation, and seasoning, so that there is a difference. We love the way the food is prepared on "Glory", and that's our personal favorite. Anyone else notice this?????
Sky we didn't like the taste of the food on the Glory as much as the Inspiration. I personally have to say I found the food great on the Inspiration. When I wanted a steak on The Inspiration it was served to me as a huge T bone while on the Glory the steak was served to me and was called a flat iron steak which I purchase in supermarkets at home as a flat thin piece of steak you cook in a frying pan. We found the food more bland tasting on The Glory while the Inspiration chef used spices to bring them up a notch. Other than that we always love the food served on all the ships. You sure did have alot of choices to pick from. We however did love the whole experience on The Glory though and she still remains our favorite ship! We can't wait to go back on her.
Since they rolled out the same dining times, the menus have changed. Some good/some bad. A lot of the dishes now use the same side items. No filet mignon, Beef Wellington.

We had the opposite experience. Food on the Glory was great, Inspiration was bland. A LOT depends on the chef. But I do wish they would stop hiring these across the board chefs who decide on the cruise line's menus and recipes, but never even step foot on board. One of my pet peeves is giving frou-frou names to things. Gratinated for example! If it doesn't taste good, the name is NOT going to make me like it more.

Hi, Ken, have to agree, we loved the food in the formal dining room on the Glory. The food on the Valor and Liberty were also tops on our list out of all Carnival ships we have sailed on....least favorite was food on the Fascination and Imagination.
Well GOOD. I'm glad it's not just me. We too found the food aboard "Inspiration" to be exceptional, but not quite as good as "Glory". I have to agree that the steaks on any of the Carnival ships haven't been very good lately. (actually for the last couple of years or so!) They usually are pretty tough, and I don't bother with them much anymore. If I want a steak, I'll just spring for the "extra cost" restaurant, but usually I stick to the seafood, chicken, or something other than beef in the main dining room. Suits me just fine.....
