We've actually done this excursion twice. It truly is a blast. After meeting the guides at the end of the pier you are taken by taxi to a beach on the north end of the island. They give you about a 15 minute lesson on how to control the boats and what hand signals the guides will use. You then go to the beach to get your life jackets and pick out your powerboat. They are about 12-15 ft long and seat 2. You then play follow the guide at fairly high speed. Depending on wave conditions it can be hard on the back as the seats have no padding and you are actually bouncing from wave to wave. The guides lead you by a camera boat for the obligatory picture that is printed and available for purchase at the end of the excursion. (Of course we couldn't resist buying them). After about 30-45 minutes you arrive at a secluded beach and have the opportunity to spend about 30 minutes relaxing in the water before you head back. After returning to the starting point you are served a simple but good Mexican meal and have the opportunity to enjoy a trampoline there. After the meal you are taken by taxi to the pier. The guides are very good and there is always a mechanic in one of the boats to deal with the occasional stubborn outboard motor. I would definitely recommend this excursion for anyone who wants a little excitement
We have been in cozumel 4 times:
Catamaran Sail, snorkel and beach party - very nice.
Fiesta Party boat if you like to DRINK and Dance-
My favorite was just this August- Sip line Adventure park-
it was a beach area at a hotel that was being renovated-
Climbing tower, rope bridge, wood bridge and Zip line -
Snorkeling and Beach time. Absolutely wonderful.
Now the towers are man made but you still feel like quite an accomplisment when you get to the top.
I wish we could have stayed at the BEACH there all Day.
Post card Beautiful. I wish I knew how to insert a picture.
All the excursions have been very well worth it.
