Carnival Cruise Question

On your very first Carnival Cruise, What did you get most excited about on the ship?[/b]

Reading the entire dinner and dessert menu. I love food and was just fascinated in the quantity, the choice selections of the dining room and buffet.

Definately, the food! We always get the late dining, but during the early sitting, we go through the dining room and look at all the dishes so we know what looks the best! Also, they have sushi from 5-7 free and we take a plate up to our room and eat it on the balcony with wine while the sun goes down. No better time then that!

i got excited because on the cruise in general. I live right by the Mississippi River and the water I see is pretty dark and muddy. we sailed out of New Orleans, naturally and I was absolutely fascinated when I woke up the first morning of our cruise to see water that looked like blue jell-o! Sorry but that's the best way I can explain it. I love ships because my dad was and my boyfriend is a ship designer and my grandpa and uncles worked in a shipyard (and me too once - inside, in AC with a computer) so I was thrilled to be on one!

And then there was Cozumel and Carlos & Charlie's.

I enjoy the embarkation lines and the non stop attempts to have your picture taken. Oh, I also like sitting behind a pole in the show lounge and seeing the same drunk people over and over thru out the week. Ah, bliss...

On the Valor the things we got the most excited about were the room, the balcony and just looking at the ocean go by. The java shop, good coffees and fair price, lower than expected. Food, the food on the Valor was out of this world, have been on NCL and RCL and this food is by far the best. Infirmary, unfortunelty we had the misfortune of spending time there, great staff of nurses, the Doc was a wet towel though. Can't wait to get back out there again, we go to San Pedro for next cruise, being from AZ it was guite a trip just getting to Miami
