Default Twin beds -- comfortable for a tall person?

Anyone have any personal experience with this? Is there any chance that the twin beds are extra-long instead of standard size?

The reason why I am asking is because the new quint occupancy deluxe OV staterooms on the Dream look like a perfect fit for our family, but on the deck plans it says that the two twins CANNOT be made into a king bed. I am sort of having trouble picturing all of this in the room, lol, but I guess they have their reasons.

Anyway, the hubby is tall and generally is not comfortable in a twin bed. I know what you're thinking -- a king and a twin are the same lenth, so why does it matter? Well, when you're in a king you have that extra space overall to stretch out. There's something about being confined to a twin bed -- he says his feet are always hanging off the edge.

So I'm just wondering if any tall folks (over 6' tall) have had any experience with this on a Carnival ship. Thanks.

Oh, and I am also wondering if there is a thread devoted to the Dream or people booking on the Dream... don't want to start a new topic just to add that question, so I though I'd add it here.

T is 6 foot 4 and he did fine on our cruise on the Victory this spring. So, I'm assuming they were extra-long twins. Tall people might want to watch out for doorways and all though...

I think he will be fine. A lot of tall people have no problem sleeping in a Carnival bed.

If they are the same size as the twin beds on the current ships then size will not be a problem. The beds are generous and quite comfortable.

I'm 6.1 220 and have never had a problem sleeping on Carnival's twin beds. I sleep on a twin bed at home. 8)

I appreciate the input. Hubby is 6'2" and very picky about this. It sounds like it would be doable, though, so that is good news.

Thanks everyone!
