A few days later I checked on the status of my cruise and they put me in room 7429!! WOW it's on the empress deck still an interior room and it’s aft but hey I'll take it! Now here’s hoping they give me back the fuel supplement.

P.S. Price of room before tax 299.00 per person cat 4D full week western Caribbean cruise 4 ports, , total including air, all taxes and fees, transportation to and from air port, and cruise 710.00 per person.
The same thing happened to me with one difference. In order to get refund I too had to give back my room and go back to guarantee status. Two days later I checked and they gave me my original room back which was a balcony right above the suites which to me was ideal. So I saved more money and got the room I wanted from the beginning...sweet

Mine has dropped twice so far and I have receive OBC both times. I leave November 30th, so, my 25 day countdown to the fuel surcharge starts today. Oil is at 64.00, so, my finers are crossed it won't spike up to 70.00 in the next 25 days!

I just booked for 12/09 and was told if the price goes down I will get the sale price. I'm not sure if its cash or a ship credit either way is cool for me.

Not sure but I think it has to be trading days not calendar days. So if you sail the 30th you are sailing too soon to qualify for refund. I am almost postive that is the case. Sorry about that...

Either way I'm Ok, since OIL has been below $70.00 for at least the last 2 weeks!

You are correct:

For 2008 and 2009 departures, if the price of light sweet crude oil according to NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange Index) is $70 per barrel or less at the 2:30 p.m. close of business as reported by Reuters on each of the 25 consecutive trading days ending five trading days prior to the guest's cruise departure date, the fuel supplement will be refunded in the form of a shipboard credit.

So, since I leave the 30th, it needs to stay below $70.00 up till the 25th, my countdown started on the 20th of October!

Ive had 4 price drops in the last 3 weeks. Firts it went down 20 each, than another 30 each. Next it went down 50 each. Then this morning I checked and it went down another $100 per person. That makes $400 obc for us. Going on the Miracle in 10 days ( Nov. 13th ).

Ive never had a problem getting the price drop, even after final payment. In fact as you can see from the first sentence, all the drops have been after final payment. They put me on hold to call supervisor.
I tell them I dont want the upgrade so it makes it go faster. About 3 mins later, I have the OBC.

Tim
