Default Let's rank the top five Carnival ships.

Taking the entire family on the Victory in Jan. and just wanted to know if she ranks that high.

My first cruise was on the Victory, but that was in 2004 and we went in Jan. I thought it was wonderful. The only thing I didn't like was not the ship but the port, San Juan. Because of the time of year you can't see anything, the historical things, forts ex. It was a wasted port. But the ship wonderful.

Why could you not visit some of the sites in San Juan in January? Was just wondering. Bob

My Favorite Carnival ship is the Freedom. However, I like big, new ships. Some people like smaller ships. Victory is a Triumph Class, I hadn't been on any ships in this class.

Bob,
By the we enter the port it was really! dark, we are not club people and the forts were closed, at that point some of the areas didn't seem safe.
We are going back this Jan. on the Splendor. I may just stay on the ship.
Unless the historical areas are open.

I've only been on the Spirit and Pride ships which are basically the same and they were great, however, I prefer the new larger ships since they offer even more things to do!

Elation
Ecstasy
Conquest
Freedom

The Victory is in a class that is actually the lowest on my list.

After cruising on 6 different Carnival Ships, I can only place those in the order from my own experiences. The order of my own personal 5 would be Carnival Pride, Carnival Conquest, Fantasy, Inpiration, and Elation.

Default Glad to hear

I'm so glad to hear positive comments on the Conquest...the Dec 14th cruise out of Galveston will be our first time on Carnival. (sailed Princess before) we were a little concerned, but sooooo looking forward to this sailing.

I would not be a good judge of a ship since I will only be on my 2nd cruise. But I just was stating how nice Victory was, so I can't wait to see the Splendor. Have fun on the Conquest.

We have sailed on the Celebration, Elation, Ecstasy, Fantasy, Conquest and the Glory. The following order is my favorite: Conquest, Glory, Ecstasy, Elation, Celebration and finally the Fantasy. I though the Conquest was the prettiest. However, we had a wonderful time on all the ships.

I've been on the Victory 5 times and she would definitely make my top 5. My top 5 would be the Glory, Victory, Legend, Triumph and a tie for 5th (Inspiration and Sensation). I like the Inspiration and Sensation because they are smaller and, in my opinion, the entertainment (especially the lounge bands) has been slightly better on these smaller and shorter cruises. I think it's to get you going on the longer cruises but that is just an opinion. With all this said, I haven't found a ship I didn't like.
