Default Triumph Question

Hi All,

I'm getting ready to book a cruise on the Triumph... I cruised a few years ago on the Legend and they had this cool camera set-up so that you can see the outside of the ship from one of your TV channels... It may sound silly, but I'm trying to save money and if the Triumph has this kind of cam, then I'll book an inside room - this way at least I can turn the TV on to this channel to see some daylight... So, does anyone know about this?

Thanks!!!

Much to my shame, I've only turned the TV on when I first enter my cabin just to see if it comes on then I turn it off for the rest of my cruise. I hope others can answer your question for you.

While I haven't sailed Triumph yet (I'm booked on Feb 1st, 2009) every Carnival ship that I have sailed on, (almost all the others) have had at least one T.V. channel that shows the outside, usually aimed at the bow of the ship. You can get a feel for what the weather is like before leaving your inside cabin. We almost always book an inside, and use the extra cash for other stuff.
Have a GREAT cruise.

With the bow cam you can tell if its day or night if you dont have a clock. Ive heard stories of people waking up, showering and ready for a tour and then realizing its still 4 in the morning. Maybe you cant tell the time but you will know if its day or night. Plus its a good weather indicator..

Thanks for all the help! I decided to do a 4 day instead of a 5 day and so was able to afford a balcony! Woo-hoo! Has anyone done the Canada Cruise before? I chose this simply to save on airfare since I live in NYC - and I'm cruising for the "fun days at sea" rather than the ports.... I'm cruising with my teenage daughter - I hope there are other teens on board!

Thats good, but yes pretty much every Carnival ship has a camera facing to the front and a camera facing the mid ship pool. Also I would suggest bringing a battery operated clock with a light up screen because there is no clock in the room and the outlet is not really close to the bed.

I was on the Triumph last year, and they did have the channel on the TV. . . We were on the backlash of Hurricane Noel and had a great time bouncing around the waves (and watching them safely from the room). ;-)
