Default We had a GREAT time aboard "Legend"

The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) and I just returned from a superior cruise aboard the beautiful Carnival "Legend". I posted a short synopsis in the Cruise Reviews, which will probably be posted by CruiseMates management in a few days. Meanwhile, if any of you have any questions we might answer,,,ask away. Great to be back, but can't wait till the next one.

Sky, I have 3 questions, 1) is the fruit punch back? 2) since they did away with the gala midnight buffet, do they still have the chololate buffet on the last sea day for lunch and 3) did you do the open seating for dinner? Thanks, Steve

I was also wondering about the open seating. We will be on the Legend next October. I've heard such great things about the ship I am really looking forward to our cruise on it.

So sorry I didn't answer the questions right away. It's been a ZOO at work, and I'm just now getting time to look over the CruiseMates boards.

The fruit punch is still missing from the drink machines on the Lido Deck. They have lemonade, and iced tea.

No Chocolate or GALA buffet on our cruise, HOWEVER, we were celebrating Halloween, and had all that activity going on, so they may well still have it on normal sailings.

Open seating is being pushed HARD by the line, and they tried to get me and the lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) to accept it, but we got it changed back to 1st seating, our preference. They are using the forward part of the upper deck of the dining room for personal choice dining, but I NEVER saw very many people there,,,,at least not during our early dining time. Maybe later it got crowded,,,I just don't know.

Overall, we had a GREAT cruise, and would recommend it to anyone wanting superior food, wonderful entertainment, and an excellent value for the buck.

Thanks, I don't know what we will do when we cruise as far as dining. We both prefer to dine at our choice of time so we might try the open. We eat at the buffet quiet often since we can go when we get ready not at a certain time. The open seating might suit us better. Bye the time we go they may have changed it back to traditional or come up with something totally different, either way, we do not starve.......

Welcome back, good to hear you enjoyed your cruise. I see you don't have a terribly long wait until the next one, hope the time flies for you.

Welcome back! We sailed the Legend this year too. The open seating worked out great for us! We even showed up with 10 ppl one nite at the busiest time and only waited about 3 minutes.

Ken

I know that the Miracle is one of you favorites, do you know anything about Cabin 7202?

We went on the Legend in September and liked the open seating. We did miss having the same waiters but loved that we were always by the window

The Legend is one of my favorite ships. We were just on her in Sept and go back again this Sunday....can't wait!

They did have the chocolate buffet when we were on in Sept.
