Default 3 cruises, 1 year to much???

Hi everyone! I feel as though i'm becoming addicted to cruising. This December will be my 3rd cruise in a 1 year span. My very first cruise was last December on the Fantasy and i loved it. My second cruise was this past June on the Sensation and my next cruise is on the Fascination this December. Am i cruising too much? Has anyone cruised 3 or more times in a 1 year span?

Oh yeah, this is my first post!

No thats not cruising to much. I have cruised in feb 2007, nov 2007, and feb 2008, so that is like 3 cruises in a year.

I have also cruised three times this Year. Grandeur of the Seas Feb 28th, Mariner of the Seas march 30th and Inspiration on Oct 2nd. So, no three cruises is not too many. I would do four but not enough time left this year. Maybe next year!

Me and the lovely Mrs. Jones did 6 last year, but only 5 this year! BUMMER! I'd do one a month if I had the time, and the money. Just can't get enough!

Welcome to Cruisemates cruizin4sho. You can never take too many cruises! This year we cruised in January, March, April, October, and will have our fifth and final cruise for the year in December. There are some great cruise prices out there now. Go for it!

I would glady doa cruise a month if I had the money!!!!

I have three scheduled for 2009. All are six or seven day cruises. I would love to go more often, but flying to Florida is not a cheap venture, right now the cheapest is $1500-2000, I could fly to London, England for around $1000 and Sydney, Australia for $1500-2000. I am lucky enough to be doing my first Mexican Riviera in Sept 09, so flying to LA is around 5 hours (6-8 with stopovers).

I have money saved for two a year through to January 2012.

Heck no: If it doesn't put you in debt then there is no problem in cruising as many times per year as you want.

The problems come when you haven't paid off the last two cruises when you take the third.

The most I've taken in a one year period is four and I loved every one of them.

Take care and enjoy your cruise(s)

Also you only did 3, 4 and 5 day cruises I think. So that is not a lot. I did 2 7's and 1 8 so I did more. So don't feel bad. I doesn't matter ho many cruises you do in 1 year.

Did you just update your signature to include the Regal Empress? I don't remember that one. I was onboard in Dec 02. Quite a step back in time. Only does 2 nighters now and is actually housing Hurricane victims at the moment.

I do not think that is too much!! We also have done the same amount....12/07, 9/08 and will be on the Miracle 12/7/08 so that also makes 3 in that year span for us too! I only have one longer one booked for next year as of now. I might sneak another in at some point if a good deal comes along!

You can NEVER take too many cruises in a year. However, I would suggest you try different ships as we have found half the experience is exploring and learning the layout of a new ship. I have found that when I have gone back on the same ship, while it was still nice, it was not as exciting as the first time!

woahh! i soo wish i could do that! we took 2 this year. that was a first for us. we usually just took one a year cause my parents couldnt get off from work.. i do plan when the fantasy moves to mobile i will be taking cruises as often as i can. i already have started a savings account dedicated for cruising. college isnt going to slow me down too much =) especially since the port is only going to be about a 30 minute drive from school.

Woah, ten in a year? If I only had that much money. Did you hear about that retired woman who MOVED onto a Cunard ship?

Anyway weve been on four this year (Carnival Liberty, Carnival Legend, HAL Eurodam, and Caribbean Princess - leave in 19 days). Plus weve been on a couple of land based trips to Hollywood and Las Vegas. So, no. You can never travel too much. Just notice my screen name! And welcome to Cruisemates, the best cruise site in the world!!!!!!

Heck no! We took our first cruise 3 years ago this coming Feb and we've managed to cruise 7 times a year for the past 3 years. I'd cruise every month if I could but just can't talk DH into that

One year I took 3. The last one was a short one in early December before Christmas but needed a quick getaway before the holidays to relief the stress. Bob

In December, it will be our fourth this year. I think it's a bit much. I enjoy it but we are still working and I think it might be time to chill on that end a little bit. Plus, I have a son getting married in Puerto Rico in the spring so that is a land trip. It will be lovely but will probably mean we won't cruise again for about a year. Particularly since I have to pay for flights and hotels for other family members.

We're getting ready to go on our 5th this year - once on NCL Sun (7 days), 2 sensation (1 4 day, 1 3 day); also went on 12 night MED cruise on Celebrity Summit. We sail on Carnival Liberty (7 day) this Saturday.

Speaking of the Regal Empress. I sailed on her in 1988. Seven day cruise to E. Caribbean. She was then known as Commodore's Caribe. We had a blast! It's great when we see her in the Bahamas. I hear she's going out of commission in 2010. Sad!

If I had the money and if cruise ships allowed pets I think I would stay on one! I love cruising. I love the whole idea of not having to worry about cooking, entertainment, cleaning, I can even get my laundry done on board!

So no 3 in one year does not sound like too much, sounds like heaven to me.
