Miracle going into DRYDOCK -

Holy carp, I just got an unexpected call; Miracle is going to drydock and my Feb 2009 cruise is cancelled and they are not substituting another ship for the itenieary

the good side is hey I can try another ship from another port, the down side is: I really loved that itenieary.....

That stinks. Well I think they only pull one ship out at a time for drydock, so that means my cruise wont be canceled. So that is good for me, but not for you. Also you said they arn't going to bring another ship. They can't do that becuase what about the other people on that ship.

Did you know why Miracle is going into dry dock? I was on the ship in July and it was recently refurbished. Am I mistaken about this?

All ships go into drydock about every 2 years. They have to get taken out of water to be cleaned and painted.

They are outting it into drydock to prevent a propultion issue.

If you go on this website:
https://www.bookccl.com/irman/replac...oy_master.html and find your ship and the date you were cruising. Then click on it and that is a copy of the letter they sent out.

and if they go into drydock for painting and such, someone needs to report the dry dockers for failing to do their job on the Destiny recently.....in BAD need of paint/repair. and she just came out of dry dock not too long ago!

I wish I could go in November but I have way too much carp going on and I'm scheduled to travel to California for training and making a side trip to Napa.

I think they only paint the part of the ship that is in the water, but I may be wrong.

I was shocked when I got the news - and of course, more worried about flight plans/hotel plans for Ms. Dina - but angry - not really - as CARP happens and I have had nearly 10 cruises with no issues. - but what did get under my skin is the $50 OBC offer - what the heck it was an 8 day cruise - why such a little concession offer.

re: bahamas - I already decided I am going over to Atlantis

- I have been to the Bahamas several times and never went to Atlantis

The Atlantis in way cool. Check out the aqarium, it will blow you away. I saw fish so big I didnt know even existed. Some parts of the resort you wont have access to unless you pay but you can still see quite a bit for free.. casino gaming tables have high minimums though..take the water taxi, its better than a cab ride..

as far as I have been told it is the Feb 25 sailing and the sailing right before that; so you should be good to go;
