room tags

How does everyone attach their tags to their luggage since we have to print them out? Do you just fold them and tape them? Seems so flimsy!

We laminated ours and stapled them around the handles. You can also use the wide clear packaging tape. Either works very well.

Yep, I cover ours with wide, clear packing tape, then punch a nice round hold in the ends and use plastic tie wraps to attach them to the handle. The first time I sailed with the "new improved" tags, I did it their way, and promptly lost my suit bag for the first few hours of the cruise. Since doing it my way, I've not lost a bag. They have to really work to rip it off now.

We laminated ours. I was tempted to take a stapler and not put them on until we got them at the airport, but cooler heads (the DW) prevailed. They were rather crumpled but we got our bags pretty quickly.

Lazy as I am I just waited until we got to the cruise terminal and just stapled them there. The luggage dudes have staplers and the tags were no worse for wear when they arrived at my room. They arent as flimsy as they seem. Just dont put them on before going to the airport, they are sure to be destroyed by the airlines.

I fold mine, cover them in clear packing tape, punch a hole in them, then put a piece of round elastic through the holes & attatch them to the suitcases after we pick them up at the airport. works great...........

Just wait till you get to the terminal, the porters have tags that stick on!

I fold them, dont cut them, they will be less flimsy. I also sometimes put them on cardstock. I put them on right before going to the ship with a lot of clear packing tape. If I stay at a hotel I put them on there or if I am coming from home I put them on at home. I NEVER put them on before a flight, thats what ruins them.

We secure our tags exactly like skymaster does. They stay on real good using this method.

Skymaster said it all. Do remember to take a couple extra zip ties with you to secure your luggage. If one is cut thru then you know your bag has been opened by security.

I opt to still receive the traditional ticket packet from Carnival with the peal and stick tags.

Don't put them on if you're going to fly until you get to the port city. I've seen the baggage handlers rip off all extra tags when they put in their routing tags.

I like the old tags better. They didn't block the handles or get crunched up near so bad.

I printed on card stock. Then covered them with clear packing tape. Real easy and made them almost like being laminated. Then attached with the same clear packing tape. Very sturdy. Didn't loose any.

The only bad thing with the old luggage tags is you have to fill them out. It is a pain to do that.
