Hotels near the Port of Miami

I would like to know if anyone could suggest a nice hotel near the port, we are flying in 1 day before the cruise. Thanks in advance

Holiday INN @ Bayside. Right across the street is the Bayside Shopping mall which is an outstide one with Hard Rock & Bubba Gumps. Plus you can see the ships coming in and out of the Port. Port is like 5 miles away. We always stay there!!! Hope this helps!!

I stayed at The Beacon in Lummus Park Beach, right next to South Beach. Got an awesome internet rate and LOVED this place-is the only place I'll stay if I go back to Miami

Staying close to the port is really so convenient, especially for a one night stay. Most of the well known chains have hotels in this area.

Check out the site below for more info., to compare costs and areas...I believe there are no shuttles to the port from this area, so grab a cab.....

Bayside, will be an easy place to dine...we had a Cruismates party at Lombardos. Great shops too, and a nice way to spend your day before your cruise! Have a ball

edited to add: also, go to biddingfortravel, and see what hotels near the port are going for, then, try Priceline, or Hotwire, you could just get a great deal!

Sorry I don't know of any, but with our cruise, I called Carnival and asked for one near our port. They gave a recommendation and I looked it up online. The rooms were $250 to $700 a night. So I looked for lower stared hotels right near the hotel they recommended. I figured that was the best way to get a hotel close to the port.

I will second the Holiday Inn. I am sur eyou will not be disappointed in it location and convenience to downtown activities before the cruise.

Check out www.retailmenot.com and sometimes you can find a discount code to make the rates cheaper.

2 cruises for us, 2006 and just got back from our 2008 cruise, both out of Miami. I suggest Hotwire and search 4 star hotels for downtown Miami. IIRC there are now 2, and I have stayed at both. In 2006 we had the Intercontinental and just 2 weeks ago we had the Hyat. paid around $99 per night for both. If you can get either of those hotels for that price, I think that's a great deal.

Hey mouche. My buddies and I will be in Southe Beach for 2 days and nights before the Destiny. We are staying at the Royal Palm on Collins. Check the website SOUTH BEACH LUXURY HOTELS. You might be able to find something close to the nightlife and cheap. We only paid 285 per night. MIKE

We just stayed at the Holiday Inn a week ago today!! It was very nice, and we got a $5.00 voucher for breakfast in their restaurant the next morning.

Then it was a 5 minute walk to to Bayside, a place on the water with all kinds restaurant, for instance we ate at Bubba Gumps and all kinds of shops. Everything was open late and there was live music and people were dancing and having a great time. We would certainly do it again the next time

We are staying at La Quinta Inn miami aiport east on Le June, it has free transfers to the hotelfrom the airport and to the cruise terminal from the hotel for up to 4 people per room. The price is $138. for four persons.

Hey there, we stayed at the Embassy Suites..airport....managers special in the evening...nice pool area...full breakfast in the morning....it was nice.

Wow!!! Thanks for all the feed back everyone, We have booked our room with the Holiday Inn Port side, it's good to here that someone was there less than two weeks ago and felt it was nice. I'm so looking forward to the bay side market place and hanging out on the beach in south beach. So thanks again.

MD2009 were you saying you'll be on the Destiny on March 14th sailing?
If so, that's great I've not run into anyone sailing on that date with us and I have cruise a lot of the different cruise sites.
