What's the weather like during the end of January-Febuary? We sail out on January 25. I think I had always cruised in October in the past. I'm from Alaska, so to me anything over 70 degrees is hot... but I'm curious how warm it is during this time frame.
It depends are you talking Los Angeles, San Diego or San Francisco. San Francisco tends to be colder and foggy.
Here are the averages for January. San Diego: High 66 Low 50 2.28 inches of rain Los Angeles: High 68 Low 48 3.33 inches of rain San Francisco: High 58 Low 46 4.75 inches of rain

The deck on board can be a tad chilly the first and last evenings. So, even though you are used to Alaska, the arctic current that you will be sailing through on your way down and back can surprise you.
Marty, who is cold-phobic
Having only done a timeshare vacation in Cabo late February and early March, this is my take: 1) it's the Pacific; 2) Nights will be cool; 3) your days will be gorgeous; 4) don't drink too much in Cabo that you miss the last tender back to your ship; and 5) may you see lots of whales!!! I envy you the sunrises and sunsets that you will get to see! I understand that's a great time for whalewatching!

Thanks. I won't drink too much! I remember when I was a kid seeing people almost too drunk to get back on the boat.
