Default cabin under the galley

How much noise can you expect under the galley? I recently went from cat 6a to 6c and now I'm worried about the noise factor. The Carnival PVP told me I shouldn't have any noise but now I'm having second thoughts about my decision. Help!!

I had a cabin underneath the galley, no noise, but the only problem was I felt hungry all night!

the only noise you should hear is your stomach talking to the food above you

We were on the Spirit in a balcony room under the lido deck.....it was awful...a lot of scraping....you could hear women in there heels....chairs scraping as people were coming and going.....well into the night. Don't recommend the room under the galley

i am very surprised by the responses so far. We always make sure there
are cabins above us. My sister and BIL received and "upgrade" on the Miracle 2 years ago, their cabin was directly under the galley and they never had a good night's sleep. They went to the Purser's desk a couple times at 2 and 3 am complaining about the noise but were never moved. It was their worse cruise. I guess it depends on the ship. Good luck and have a great cruise.

They can't always move you becuase they could have a full ship.

A cabin under the galley shouldn't be a problem. I have never had one, but a lot of people say you can't here anything.

I did once have a cabin above a club, but you could only hear it slightly and it wasn't a problem. I slept fine and I am a very light sleeper.
