Default Isla Roatan, Honduras

Hi Everyone. We are wondering if all the cruise ships are stopping at this Island now. I know that they weren't for a while due to unrest over electric service.

Thanks.

Happy Cruising!!

We were there the 2nd week in November and I can't wait to go again.
If you decide not to do a ship's tour, be aware that when you get off the ship, you will be mobbed by people trying to sell you private tours and/or taxis. My husband's approach, which worked well for us was to say we wanted to walk around first, which we did. Until we found a driver who took the time to chat with us and find out what we wanted rather than what he wanted us to want. Went to the West End. Great shopping for wood carvings. Heard that there is a great cameo shop in town.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Marty

Default Roatan tgours

Good to know, we just just booked a private tour with http://roatancruiseexcursions.com because we like doing our own thing so this seems like the best option for us. I didn't really want to deal with taxi's or getting hassled at the port so I think we made a great decision

Tabyana Beach! The most beautiful beach Ive been to so far.
Fish are everywhere at your feet, warm crystal clear clean water, awesome drinks on the beach.

They also have some cool crafts people sell at decent prices. Very awesome paintings.

You must go and drink a Monkey La La

I have a you tube video of our stop there.

This has been our best excursion ever. The snorkeling is breath taking.

We were in Roatan in October. Beautiful place. We booked a private tour through Victor Bodden. They were the best. We could tailor the tour however we wanted it. We asked to go to an orphanage. We took with us a few school supplies, coloring books, candy, etc. They gave us a tour. We went to Victor's home and held the monkeys. Went to the beach. Our driver was very informative. I would highly recommend them.
