Default Excursion bookings

What is the best way to book excursions? There are several on Carnival website, however carnival doesnt offer a trip that we are interested in taking. DO you wait until you get off the boat? Or Book at a different site online? Hubby read that there is a volcano in Costa Rica, I so want to go to it, or close atleast to see it. Any suggestions? TY s0s

You can book tours on your own. Usually people book them online or call the tour operator pre-cruise. Please check out the timing on your tour carefully. You do not want to miss the ships departure.

I like booking excursions by researching different companies on the web. It is nice to get away from the crowded cruise ship tours. Bob

You could try the National park service in Costa Rica. Do you know the name of the volcano? Arenal Volcano National is one of the parks with volcano; but I don't know it's distance from the ship. This is a list of the national parks from the Costa Rica tourism and travel bureau.

Just to share my wonderful experience of Belize with all of you travellers around the world.

I was on the Carnival Valor last week and when we stop at the Belize Port my family and I booked the tour of the Maya ruins and the rain forest with Action Boys Belize. Our tour guide was Donald and he was one of the finest tour guides we have ever been with.
The drive from the terminal to the site lasted 40 minutes. We spent about an hour and a half on the site. Donald was very good with the history of the maya people. He also did presentations on some of their valued medicinal plants. He was very good.

We then did a 20 minutes drive for lunch then headed on to the Baboon Sanctuary ( Rain Forest) where we hiked on trails in search of Howler monkeys. We all loved the rain forest a lot. The sounds of birds singing, the fresh air, and most of all the howler monkeys.

After the tour we were escorted to the terminal about an hour before our last tender leave. This is great service that travellers need. Our time was well managed, we had a great time, and thanks to Donald Ramirez for giving us such great experience. He can be reach at email: actionboysbelize@yahoo.com
