Default Carnival Ship in San Francisco

I have a question for the Carnival experts out there. Carole and I went the San Francisco Christmas shopping yesterday and I noticed a Carnival ship docked in the distance. It seemed far from south of pier 35 next to Pier 39 nthe shopping area. It is late in the year for Alaska and it seems to soon for Mexico. In for repair? Please let me know if you know what ship and the schedule. Thanks, Mike

No Carnival ships come out or leave out of San Fransisco. They only ship that is going to come in once is the Splendor next year.

It must be the Paradise for its drydock. That's the only ship I can think of becuase the Paradise was scheduled for drydock in December.

I know I have seen Carnival ships in San Francisco in the past while being in drydock. I personally think they need to have cruising leaving from San Francisco, that would be great.

Here is a link to SFO's port website. http://www.sfgov.org/site/port_page.asp?id=55713The Carnival Paradise was scheduled there on 12/12/08 last port Long Beach and next port Long Beach. It's not listed as Dry Dock like the Star Princess is. I bet it's headed to Long Beach for dry dock.

Here is the Calendar for Long Beach. It also shows Carnival Paradise there on 12/12/08. That's strange how can a cruise ship be in two places at once?

The Paradise leaves out of Long Beach and it was scheduled to go to drydock. So I am guessing thats the ship that was seen in San Fransisco.

The Paradise is back to cruising it left for a cruise yesterday.

They don't book dry docks. They book cruises and then cancel cruises for drydocks, so the Long Beach website probably never got updated.
