Default Just paid my bill in full and............

I still had to pay for the fuel surcharge. Our ship sails on 2/15/09. Carnival indicated that the difference will be credited to my credit card in 3 weeks. I had heard that they would just take it off your bill and you would not have to pay it. Well that is not the case.

They are probably wishing oil goes back up.

I wonder why they are handling it that way. I just checked on RCI's website for our 2 cruises next year and the fuel charges were deleted. It goes without saying but be sure to keep track of it! Have a great cruise.

I don't know, well at least you are still getting back your fuel surcharge.

We contacted our PVP when the fuel surcharge was suspended by Carnival. We were curious about the refund as we are already booked to cruise again in Nov 09. Our PVP indicated that they are adjusting all of the near term cruises first (17 Dec 08 and first part of 2009) and will be working their way through the remaining cruises booked prior to 04 Dec 08 for 2009 and 2010. Our PVP indicated that each booking has to be handled individually. The PVP related there are thousands of bookings that have to be adjusted for those folks who booked a cruise prior to 04 Dec 08. So...let's hope the price of oil stays low.

I'v got one that is paid in full early and the TA said Carnival told them they would refund the credit card I paid with. .... waiting, still no credit as of last night posted. It's not much $5 fuel on a 4 day, but Id still like to see it post. Decided I'd give them until after Christmas and then bug the TA again.
