shuttle Port Everglades to airport?

Any suggestions for shuttle service from port to FLL airport after cruise?
I know about the Carnival shuttle bus, but have heard that there are other less expensive transports. Flight at 12:30.

A taxi is only about $12 plus tip.. and that's for the taxi, Not per person. It's about a 10 minute ride.

We just got off the Carnival Miracle a couple of weeks ago. Taxis are usuallu $12 from the dock to the airport. Shuttle vans are a per persosn charge, thus taxis are a better value. We were told there was a strike taking place for a fare increase. Ask the driver before you agree to a cab.

We did the FLL to Port Canaveral in November. We took the limo ride to the port for $40.00 total. On the way back, we did the taxi and paid $20.00 and gave him a $5.00 tip.

When we arrive in Port Everglades after the cruise, do we need to make a phone call for a taxi to the airport, or are there cabs outside?

Just walk off the ship and there are cabs there - it was 1/3 the cost it would have been for the 3 of us to go on a transfer. The airport is less than 10 min away.

Reserve a rental car through Hertz or Avis at FLL. They have a free shuttle from the cruise terminal to the airport. The driver didn't actually check reservations, but be sure to tip him well!
