Default CAN ANYONE HELP ME???

When we get back to Miami after our cruise our flight does not leave until 8:25pm that night, are there any places we could stay that would let us check in in the morning and out that night. The flight was the only non stop we could get, so we thought we would enjoy Miami for the day before going to the airport. What about places that will let us store our luggage until we leave for the airport ? Any suggestion would really be appreciated.

I don't know of any place that you could check in in the morning and check out at night. Also I don't know of anywhere where you could store your luggage.

What is the earliest you can check you luggage in at the airport?

In the past, on a couple of occassions, we were able to book "Day Rooms" at local hotels. You'd have to call and ask for rates on Day Rooms if available.

I believe last time... a couple of years back... we paid $70 at Embassy Suites.

Or if you just want to store your stuff you can check with hotels about check bags with the bell staff. If you have any hotel rewards programs that might get you a leg up on a request like that.

You could also rent a car for the day. Pick it up downtown (I used Enterprise at the Radisson on Biscayne Blvd.) and return it later at the airport just lock your luggage in the trunk and see the sights. Then you'd have your transportation for the day and store your luggage and everything for less than a hotel costs. If you are unsure of where you are going, you can rent a GPS for about $10.

Rent a car at the airport and do some sightseeing or The Baggage Checkroom is located on Concourse E, Level 2 and is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Storage charges are subject to baggage size.

Sounds like a winner to me. Go see S. Beach or pick something else you always wanted to see.

8:25 ....that's 2035 in military time. That stinks !
It does seem like they could get y'all on your way home earlier.
When in Fort Lauderdale, I enjoyed an air-boat ride on the Everglades. Did that one twice. When I left port of Miami, I did a neat Art Deco tour of Miami Beach. Those tours are sold on-board the ships.

And when you take a tour you just load your luggage in the tour van and it goes with you. Great option Thoth!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, Bennie Weenie, I didn't think of renting a car for the day, that's a good idea, we could go where ever we want and keep our luggage in the trunk. Also as someone else suggested maybe I'll call around to see if any day rooms exist.

that's right, they secure the luggage until you arrive at the airport. The flight out usually has to be past 3 pm or so. One can't take part in the tour with a noon departure.
