There is another thread here where folks comment on the value (or otherwise) of VIP perks . . . but I haven't been able to find a definitive list of just what benefits are included in the VIP designation. We haven't earned VIP status as some of you have, we have it simply by virtue of booking a Cat 11 suite. But I would like to know what that entails other than the dis/embarking perk.

We love our platinum perks. My daughters love the free arcade tokens. My husband and I appreciate the free laundry. All of us enjoy the priority tender tickets. And at the end of the cruise we love getting off the ship at our leisure, because no matter when we get off we know our VIP luggage will be cleared and ready and waiting for us. The special line at the purser's desk has come in handy several times but I always feel guilty using it when others have been waiting so much longer for someone.
The complete list I think is on the Carnival site. We think the perks are worth it. It's nice to get the special treatment....Oh and before I forget, my youngest daughter is a chocaholic and she adores the chocolate coated strawberries that arrive in place of the free canapes.
Thanks for the link. It's still not clear to me . . . whether as a suite VIP I am only entitled to priority boarding, or full Platinum privileges. I guess I can ask once on board.

Being in a suite only entitles you to priority boarding. Everything else you have to wait for the 10th cruise. IMO that is the best perk anyway. I sail tomorrow on #10 and that is what I am looking forward to most....

Thanks Briguy - I won't cry over the lost laundry opportunity, but if St. Martin uses tenders, tender priority wold be much appreciated. I think we can manage to enjoy our first cruise without the extra perks!

so if we are paying for others cruises do they count toward our cruise total?
Only the bookings that have your name on the boarding pass will count towards the 10 needed for VIP.
