Default Carnival Triumph

Alright, the BF and I and some friends have decided to go on a cruise out of Miami (we live near Tampa) on the Carnival Triumph (with stops in Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel).
We took our very first cruise out of Tampa on the Inspiration back in October 2008 and had a ton of fun and now we're doing it again, this time on a bigger boat. I will be 24 and he will be 26 by the time the cruise rolls around (May 17, 2009). My friends that are coming (hopefully) are both 24.

Has anyone sailed on the Triumph? Is it a good ship to go on?
How would you compare it to the Liberty?
(The other boat we're considering I'm not so sure on the decor, it looks a little to Martha Stewart with the flowers and stuff everywhere)
Is there a "fish and chips" on the Triumph?

Out of the Liberty and the Triumph, which would you say is better? I want a big boat, but not so big that I'm in line for 45 minutes at the buffet with no where to sit.

Okay your first cruise was on a Fantasy Class ship 855 feet guest count 2052. The Triumph is a Triump Class ship 893 feet guest count 2758. The Liberty is a Conquest Class ship 952 feet guest count 2974. Based on these numbers it would think the Triumph would fee more crowded then Liberty or Inspiration.

I looked; but I didn't see a fish and chips on the Triumph. I was on the Freedom (another conquest class ship) the Fish and Chips are very tasty. The decor was a little loud, but easy to adjust to. If the costs and ports are the same on these two ship, then I would take the Liberty. If Triumph is less expensive and you like the ports better I would take the Triumph. I hope that helps.

Hi there RockChick. I have been on both the Triumph and the Liberty. They are both wonderful ships. The only diference is that the Liberty is newer and slightly larger. Can't hardly notice the difference in size. It's been about 4 years, but I think the Triumph did have a fish and chip counter closer to the back of the ship.
