HMMMM,,kind of neat. Personally, I like it, but then I'm a "bit different" than most folks. Seriously, I like it lots better than their last commercial in which I didn't have a clue what it was about, or who was the sponsor until the end.

I don't know what commercial everyone is talking about - but the one I saw was beach balls being tossed off bldgs and the streets full of people having a great time passing the the balls around - All for fun - Fun for All

I thought it was great for Carnival -
You can click on the link in the first post and that will take you to the commercial.

I agree...and I have NEVER went that fast down a Carnival water slide *though I do love them!*
I personally like the Bobby Darin "Beyond the Sea" and the "Ain't We Got Fun" commercials much better. I got up and danced every time I heard those commercials. They showed a good time along with an elegant side of cruising that made me want to go again and again. "Beyond the Sea" is even my ringtone and every time my phone rings I think about getting back on a ship.
I hope the commercials get better. Compared to Royal's new ones of "Nation of Why Not" I think Carnival is lacking...

I wish someone had consulted an individual with some clothing taste before making everyone wear those white coaching from the 70's outfits...

I really like the ones where they used the spirit class ships in the beginning of the commercial.

I really find these new commercials lacking in so many different levels. I miss the older ones with "Somewhere Beyond The Sea" and "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". But i will say the Beach Ball one is my fav of all the new ones out lately.
Carnival should really have a contest and let past cruisers/fans create a new commercial, and they will pick one or two to use for their advertising. The creators of the commercials will get free cruises out of it of course!
Any cruise commercial is a good commercial......... but when doing a comparision to the newest RCL - nation of why not campaign to the carnival - buckle up buttercup, Carnival is lacking in the full attention grabber. Maybe next time they will hit it.
David - I like the idea of a cruise commercial contest. Carnival should think of doing something like that.
All three ( The beach balls, Pinata, and waterslide) fall short of what I would have expected. I would not ever base a cruise on a water slide, rock wall, Ice skating, mini-golf or any other gimic. The ship, cuisine, and ports of call are far more important. Show more of these points and you have a far better commercial.
