Default Cozumel Excursions for group

Lucky me....I've been "asked" to plan my daughter's Sr. cruise with her group of friends. There are 17 total, 11 kids (girls and boys), 6 adults.

We're having a meeting soon to discuss excursions. Obviously, we don't want to leave it up to the kids. Not crazy about them driving around Cozumel on dune buggies or motorcycles. I'd even much rather see them on a booze cruise...at least I know where they are!

I need something that will satisfy boys, girls and parents. Help!!

There is a tour we done and it was a Jeep excursion with a beach break. I know they still have it but I'm not sure the exact name. You stay with the group drive across the island to the beach and then spend a while there and then after that you head back but when you do its ALL off road. It was totally fun. My grandparents even done it with us and they loved it. It also still gives you time to shop after the excursion..not a ton but enough to get what you need. =)

good thing you mentioned that. It sounds like the tour I have booked through Carnival.
"Cozumel Jeep and Snorkel at Punta Sur" which visits Punta Sur Ecological park, a crocodile lagoon, a small Mayan ruin, a lighthouse, museum, snorkeling, and a lunch.

I know how he feels. I did a simular Jeep tour in Grand Cayman.
They mean it when they say "you drive".....so I drove ....almost got run over driving on the wrong side of the road and thus always checking for traffic in the wrong direction, but I DROVE !
I'm not much for swimming in the ocean and I take it that snokeling is merely an option. I enjoy sitting in the shade and watching others get sun-burned.

It looks like you have to be 21 to drive the Jeep, not to mention it's a manual transmission, so that's probably not an option.

The Twister/Passion Island excursion looks pretty cool. Crazy boat ride for the boys, relaxing beach for the girls....cocktails for parents.

I would look into an excursion to Xcaret which is on the mainland (by ferry to Playa del Carman) and then a short bus ride. It is a very inventive ecological theme park with water tubing, a great beach, Mexican equestrian demonstrations, etc. It is a full and interesting day

Default Cozumel Group tours

for a group of that size and age, why not charter a catamaran Cozumel Private Snorkeling Catamaran Cozumel has incredible snorkeling and you keep everyone together instead of running all over a park!

Or for an active group, the Zipline, Bike and Snorkeling Tour

Well there are enough adults in your party to drive the buggies for the kids. The cruiseline says 21 to drive, but once your there you really only need to be 16 with a valid driver's licence and the ability to drive a stick shift. Everyone goes caravan style so there are no worries of your kids driving around Cozumel alone.

This was one of my favorite excursions ever. It is the same as the Punta Sur Jeep tour only with dunebuggies. Punta Sur has some of the best snorkling I have ever seen. It is a little strenuous because of the 1 1/4 mile swim, but only one person on our tour had to go back to shore. The included lunch was awsome.

I'm just saying don't rule it out.

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions. Looks like we've got a lot of research to do.

It may end up that we do 2 separate excursions...boys wanting to do one thing, girls wanting to just veg out on the beach. Me, I'm going with the girls!!

I took 3 teenagers to Cozumel in July 2008 for my daughters graduation.
We did the Adventure park / Zip line excursion. It was awesome.
there were 3 rock towers to climb(3 different heights), a rope bridge, a wood bridge and you had to zip line across before you got to repel down. NOW, all this was man made but lots of fun. They provided the shoes and harnesses. Then you got to snorkel and lay on the BEACH. WONDERFUL. All the girls and myself had a great time. We also had time to go to town for Margaritavillle, which was entertainment in itself. The girls were 18,18,17. I would do it again in a minute.
We have been to Cozumel 4 times, This was great.
Catamaran sail and snorkel is also good.
Fiesta Party boat (Lots of DrinKing) NO ID"S checked!!!
You will have fun if you choose to.
BonVoyage!!!
