Default Ready for Warm Weather!!!!

Wow I am so ready to head to Miami to catch the Liberty Saturday. We finally got power and water back after 5 days. We were really hit hard by the ice storm here in Western Ky. Now I know what it is like to take a shower once a week. YUK>>>> we take so much for granted... Oh well its over now and my cruise could not have come at a better time....

What a great time for a cruise, glad you got all the power back...

Yea, I'm ready for warmer weather, this winter has been brutal here in the midwest.

Bon Voyage and have a great time, no worries!

Winter in Boston has not been a good one. Not the worst, but seems like one storm fast on the heels of the last one....If I squint, I pretend I am in Lauderdale, getting ready to board..ya right

Have a fabulous cruise!

Yikes !! I can't imagine how difficult it might be to return to ice & snow after a week of 75 degrees and sunny.

It gets cold in California also. A couple of years back I visited Crescent
City & the Redwoods and found it so cold. I shivered.....in JULY !
Of course it was hot as the dickens in Sacramento.
Back in early 90's I was stationed in Travis AFB ( Fairfield CA) and the base usually experienced chilly, wet, often dreary winters. Summers were always hot and dry. We had a "green" season and a "brown" season.
I was personally either cold at night or hot during the day. If we had a nice day it would usually be a windy chilly night, but if the night was pleasant then the following day was a scorcher.
Being from the South-East I never could descipher West Coast weather.

I am very fortunate to be leaving this area for a cruise right now. Most of the people around me are still running generators for power and recieving food and water from the national guard. I am really glad to leave this area for a while but I feel a little guilty leaving everyone here struggling to survive. All that said we are leaving for Miami a couple of days early. Either Wed or Thursday..... I hope when we get home most things are back to normal.
Thanks everyone for the welll wishes..
Ready for a Break for sure.....

Mike, I just saw your post about not having electricity for several days! I didn't realize you had it so bad with the storms. I am so glad that you can leave for the cruise and get away for a week of relaxation and warm weather. Enjoy the cruise! You will have a great time.
