What is the preferred or safest means for transactions in the port of Cozumel? Is is safe t use plastic? Is it easier to haggle price with Us or foreign currency? Thanks all, and by the way, I think I found a new addiction, and am still waiting 5 months for the first cruise..
It's safe to use plastic. We do it pretty often, and never had a problem.
For small amounts we just use dollars. There is no need to use Mexican currency.
We have been to Cozumel many times, and it's one of our favorite ports.
