I'm all in!

TravelMike February 25th, 2009 11:27 PM

Jim, and Snooze Carole and I are in the process of signing up. I think Carole requested an aft balcony from Nancy. I hope to hear tomorrow. One way or another we will be there. Mike

Snoozeman February 25th, 2009 11:41 PM

Mike, I got an aft as well so I had to pay full deposit since it was an 8G. She did have a good price on those as well. It was worth it. The balcony prices are very good.

Really glad you guys are coming along. We'll have FUN!

T C February 26th, 2009 06:02 AM

You know I'll be there too! As of this moment I'm traveling with TBA, but most likely it will be the Butterfly with me.
See ya next year :D

OK - checking the schedule.........if I do this I will pick my cabin this time around...............give me a day or two to think....I think it is doable!!!

Snoozeman February 27th, 2009 10:21 AM

Come on Lisa, it will be FUN. I picked my cabin this time too.

I couldn't find any quad aft balconies so opted for a Spa Deck balcony instead. During the recent refurb they converted them from Oceanview to balconies. Can't wait to check them out. This may sound weird but I am actually relieved to pay full deposit on this, then I don't have such a big balance when full payment is due and I am getting the room I want.

April February 27th, 2009 12:10 PM

Ahhh Man - that's not fair!! Here's my dilemma - I'm on the same cruise - have already paid - I'm sailing with my group of 8 and we're all sailing with a local radio station morning personalities -

I guess I can say hi and let you all know that I'm a cruisemate while on the ship - wish I could join your parties (hint, hint) hopefully I'll get to meet all of you!!

TravelMike February 28th, 2009 12:59 AM

April, I hope you and Michael can make it. The good news is I think I can get a direct flight fort this one. I have no doubt we will have a lot of fun. Take care, Mike

beenie weenie February 28th, 2009 09:26 AM

Bahama, that's not a dilemma, that's great! Just look for the table on the promenade, next to the casino full of people who are yawning. We're easy to spot. Seriously, I am sure we'll have lots of opportunities to get together.

I hope you all can come. We will have a ball!

However it works out we will be having open parties where you can join us. I'm sure we'll return the pirate party and pajama party and they can't both be at the same time as our cocktail party. We'll work it out.

Snooze, I have a question we have flown through Bush (Huston ) before but on to Ft. Lauderdale. How do we get from Huston to Galveston? It there a transfer service? I plan to fly down the day before. Mike

There are limo services and a lot rent a car. We'll research and start a list of various options.

Cool, afts rule! :) 8450 is a great cabin.

It is very easy for you, isn't it? Just down the road! We need to get all the other Texas CrusieMates on board.

Phil&Liz March 1st, 2009 09:04 PM

Picture a caravan of Cruisemates driving down I-45 whoopin and hollerin all the way !!

We could, actually, arrange some sort of ride sharing thing or rent a van or two for those not staying in Galveston pre cruise.

And a pre cruise cocktail party like we did for Bog2NOLA.

Phil & Liz

Sorry, Ray

If you want to talk about "being easy. Just down the road." The Port of Galveston is a 35 minute drive for us! LOL

We win! We get anything on the top shelf!

Well, then looks like I have something to look forward to more than just a cruise - getting to meet all these really neat CM's!!! I'll be sure to watch the boards for any and all info!!

Thanks to all who had encouraging words about my "dilemma"!!!

Ready, you and Don are planning to sign on. Carole and I have already signed up. I hope you guys can make this one. I think a dinner the evening before is a good idea. I know it is a long way off, but time goes by quickly. We look forward to seeing you guys. Mike

ready2gonow March 2nd, 2009 01:32 PM

Mike, I called Nancy Saturday and booked us! Yeaaaaa!

However, I also told Nancy that someone REALLY needs to 'reel me in'!

We have a TA planned, with some friends, for Nov-Dec 2009, getting home on 12-17. We also have the Oasis of the Seas booked for 2 weeks, with our DS and DIL and PGB, for April 2010. That is a whole lot of sailing! Not that I mind that, but I'm kinda scaring myself! LOL

I explained to Nancy that it is a condition I have had my whole life: I just don't want to miss out on anything!

I, too was thinking about dinner the night before. In Galveston, next to the pier where the ship docks, is a restaurant called Fisherman's Wharf. They have some individual rooms for groups. If we had an idea, in advance, how many are interesting is joining us, that may be a good option.

Also, Mike, Don and I are still anticipating heading to California in September. Hopefully we will be able to meet up with you and Carol, while we are in your fair state!

Pocono Pug March 2nd, 2009 03:17 PM

Dang I would love to go but we just booked a hall for my wifes parents 50th anniversary the following week which ties up a bunch of money. Maybe I can fanagle some funds to join y'all.

ready2gonow March 2nd, 2009 03:40 PM

Andy, since I've just been "throwing" money at cruises, I booked us an inside cabin, for this cruise, to save on the $$$.

C'mon and join us! It is really shaping up to be a great group going.

TravelMike March 2nd, 2009 03:46 PM

Ready, it sounds like a lot but you have the time so go for it. I hope Don is over his cold. I am just now starting to feel better myself. It seems like every time I fly I get a cold. I hope it works out for September. We have some time to plan. One way or another will will meet up. Mike
