Mike, I got an aft as well so I had to pay full deposit since it was an 8G. She did have a good price on those as well. It was worth it. The balcony prices are very good.

I couldn't find any quad aft balconies so opted for a Spa Deck balcony instead. During the recent refurb they converted them from Oceanview to balconies. Can't wait to check them out. This may sound weird but I am actually relieved to pay full deposit on this, then I don't have such a big balance when full payment is due and I am getting the room I want.

Ahhh Man - that's not fair!! Here's my dilemma - I'm on the same cruise - have already paid - I'm sailing with my group of 8 and we're all sailing with a local radio station morning personalities -

I guess I can say hi and let you all know that I'm a cruisemate while on the ship - wish I could join your parties (hint, hint) hopefully I'll get to meet all of you!!

Bahama, that's not a dilemma, that's great! Just look for the table on the promenade, next to the casino full of people who are yawning. We're easy to spot. Seriously, I am sure we'll have lots of opportunities to get together.

Snooze, I have a question we have flown through Bush (Huston ) before but on to Ft. Lauderdale. How do we get from Huston to Galveston? It there a transfer service? I plan to fly down the day before. Mike

There are limo services and a lot rent a car. We'll research and start a list of various options.

Our first aft cabin and , unless we book one more this year, this will be our 10th so Platinum baby!

Picture a caravan of Cruisemates driving down I-45 whoopin and hollerin all the way !!

We could, actually, arrange some sort of ride sharing thing or rent a van or two for those not staying in Galveston pre cruise.

And a pre cruise cocktail party like we did for Bog2NOLA.

Mike, I called Nancy Saturday and booked us! Yeaaaaa!

However, I also told Nancy that someone REALLY needs to 'reel me in'!

We have a TA planned, with some friends, for Nov-Dec 2009, getting home on 12-17. We also have the Oasis of the Seas booked for 2 weeks, with our DS and DIL and PGB, for April 2010. That is a whole lot of sailing! Not that I mind that, but I'm kinda scaring myself!

I explained to Nancy that it is a condition I have had my whole life: I just don't want to miss out on anything!

I, too was thinking about dinner the night before. In Galveston, next to the pier where the ship docks, is a restaurant called Fisherman's Wharf. They have some individual rooms for groups. If we had an idea, in advance, how many are interesting is joining us, that may be a good option.

Also, Mike, Don and I are still anticipating heading to California in September. Hopefully we will be able to meet up with you and Carol, while we are in your fair state!
