ZIP LINE/COZUMEL OR PLAYA DEL CARMEN

We are getting ready to cruise in a couple of weeks and want to try zip lining for the first time. Can anyone suggest which port is better to try zipping for the first time? Exactly how streneous is this????

Ziplining was "invented" by ports that had mountains and thick tropical jungles.

Cozumel has neither.

Cozumel's zipline is a few manmade concrete stations that you "zip" from over flat sandy ground.

We pass it every time we go to Paradise Beach (4 times since October alone)....and I am not impressed.

Hubby and oldest son did it in Puerto Vallarta (14 stations of real zip lining) through an independent tour company and it was great.

Now, having said that....IF you just want the fun of ziplining without the scenery .... Cozumel can certainly provide that.

Just understand that you will not be getting the "original" ziplining experience.

We have been on two great ones, one in Costa maya Costa Maya Zipline
and another one in Belize Belize Zipline

As lhp says, neither of those are very good places for zip lines. There are a lot of things that is great there such as the beaches and snorkeling.

Roatan is an ideal place for zip lining if you ever get there.

We need another trip back to Progresso....that was a fun day in port with ya!!!
