My 18 year old and I just got back from our cruise with Carnival...destination Key West and Cozumel. Once you get settled in, go to the desk where you arrange for your days in Ports because they typically fill up very quickly. We did things like the kayaking, swimming with the dophins,,
So, check over the list of things that they have to offer (they must have a contract or work closely with the groups that offer the fun pkgs) takes alot of the headache away for you prior to your trip.
One word of caution....while in Cozumel beware of all the shop owners---I was getting extremely tense with them literally bombarding the vacationers....Such extreme rip offs!! I would not spend hardly a penny there. We also got a bit of a stomach ache from something we ingested there. They will do anything for a tip....make a balloon hat that you don't want, for example, and then give you a sad face and say they are working for a tip. Everybody wants your money! One man chased us as we left his store because we wouldn't spend $600 for a silly cheap looking ring!
The water is gorgeous and blue---snorkeling is loads of fun! You'll see lots of marine life!!
Have fun---but beware and be cautious. Remember, in Cozumel, you are their "Bread and Butter".[/i]
