I did win the free cruise in Feb 08. Therefore, I didn't need to imagine. I upgraded to a 8A cabin for a price and it all worked out well. I chose the Valor for the route, not the ship--rather tacky with all the red, white, blue, eagles, and liberty bells everywhere-Farcus was smoking some funny weed when he did the decor for that ship.

If I won again I would book it for Alaska in the summer of 2010.

I too would probably opt for "Dream", just to try something different.

I don't know if Carnival has the itinerary, but I'd vote for Dream out of Port Canaveral going to Grand Turk, Grand Cayman, Jamaica & Cozumel. While I'm making things up - why not?

If I had to choose a Carnival ship I would choose the Liberty.

Liberty- I like the Eastern itinerary and she looks like a 'fun ship'.

A Spirit class ship. Probably the Carnival Pride

Take care,

I really, REALLY love the spirit class and the Legend is my hands down favorite ship that I've been on including a handful of other lines. But the Dream looks tempting...

I am already booked on the Dream for western itinerary. I think I would do Legend to pass the time until then.

Wife won a cruise in Jan. on our cruise out of Jacksonville and we booked the Triumph for May 25th.... Reason? It leaves from Charleston, SC which is a 10 minute drive from home....
We had a choice of 3/4/5 day cruise and this was the best offered in the timeframe for us.

RCI doesn't have a fare to match any of the recent Carnival fares. I guess you could add another grand or two to do the RCI cruise.

Somewhere on the Miracle. I want to go on that boat so bad it's not even funny. I think it's just the decor of the ship.......
We watched the Legend leave out of Tampa on Sunday.

Splendor is my choice and is the newest and largest and I have been on several starting with their first ship in Miami.Splendor has all the bases covered We just completed 49 day cruise and really got to know the entire ship and staff and were fortunate to have the best waitress in the Black Perl resturant,Bianca, and this choice is made wth 40 cruises under our belt. The production show Vroom is the best i have ever seen.

DREAM, anywhere she is going as long as I am on board. I mean she is the newest ship Carnival has.

I wish I booked this cruise. Sadly this is a fanasty. Way out of my price range right now. Oh on my fake cruise I'm in a 9A. Might as well go all the way with it.

The oldest, crappiest ship afloat so I could take a sledgehammer to it and not get in trouble... actually the Oasis...

New Year's eve cruise - nice. The only problem would be traveling on Christmas day or on the 26th which can be pretty wild (been there done that).

For me it's less about the ship and more about the itinerary. But if I had to narrow down to a ship, we actually really enjoy the Fascination, followed closely by the Valor. And in my dreams I have a wrap around balcony : )

Yea, I guess you're right. There aren't any really crappy Carnival ships, but the Oasis of the Seas is pretty crappy... You'd probably not get in any trouble taking a sledgehammer to her.
