Default Ship Time vs Local Time

I am trying to arrange with a tour with a Cozumel taxi driver. When setting up what time to meet him, I am wondering about the time listed on Carnival's website. It states that we are docked in Cozumel 8:00am. Is this EST or 8:00am Cozumel time? I was wanting to meet him an hour after the ship docks, but not sure what time to tell him.

For Caribbean cruises the port times are always based on your port of embarkation. I'm sure the taxi driver could check with the port to ascertain the local time.
