Default Carnival Triumph Vs Liberty

Hello All,

Just got quoted on 2 Carnival ships and need your info on both to make my booking.

We have the Carnival Triumph and the Carnival Liberty.

The routing is almost the same and we dont really care about it so that has no incentive in the decission.

We would pay about a bit less if we opt for the Triumph. Shoud this determine the choice ?

Pls give me all your input on what ship you would go on with and for what reasons ?

Sea ya

I'm guessing the Triumph is out of New Orleans and the Liberty is out of Miami. The Liberty is a bigger and newer ship. I have been on the Freedom, which is the same class ship. It has the big waterslide, the movies under the stars, and an adult only pool. If I went Truimph it would be to see New Orleans. But I like the newer ships so Liberty would be for me.

I would go on the Liberty because of its departure port and the size also its newer.

I've sailed both those ships. They have the same layout. The triumph has some wear and tear on it because its a wee bit older. It may have gone into dry dock since I sailed her. But I prefer the Liberty.. It's a little bit bigger and it has the movie screen on the lido deck which is nice.

I'm not sure if the Triumph always goes out of Miami but in less than 2 weeks I'll be on her leaving from Miami headed to the Eastern Caribbean. Triumph was refurshished last fall and now also has the huge poolside TV. I've never been on the Liberty but can give you a review of the Triumph when I get back after the 19th.

I've sailed both of these ships, and yes, they currently do both sail out of Miami. We haven't been on "Liberty" for a couple of years, and sailed "Triumph" in Feb. of '09. I've never had a better cruise aboard Carnival, than the one we just had aboard "Triumph". It was truly GREAT, so if you do decide to save a few bucks, I can't believe you'll sacrifice anything. Either cruise would be super, but as of right now, I'd sail "Triumph" again.

You might consider what cabins are still available.
That's what made me chose the Liberty over Glory. I wanted an aft balcony, and Liberty had them available, Glory didn't on the cruise we wanted. I would have preferred Glory because the port is much closer to our home, but the aft balcony won.

I have sailed on both. As Skymaster, the master cruiser, has stated the Triumph is a great ship. I prefer the Liberty over the Triumph, however, because the food on the Liberty was the best we've ever had - and contrary to opinions about the decor on the Liberty we thought it was beautiful. Both ships are fantastic so whichever you choose you will have a splendid time.
