We are leaving out of Tampa and I have found a Hampton Inn that has a rate listed for hotel stay and parking during cruise. Has anyone done this? Any input is apprectiated. The rate I was give for room and parking is $135.
We have done this many times with no problems. The hotels we have used seem to have a special area where they have us park and they monitor the lot. Never had any problems when we returned to get the car.
We are cruising out of Mobile monday and are staying at the Marriott Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel and they have a park and shuttle package that was $119 + tax which included the rooom. Have also used this service out of Nashville and had no problems. Also in Nashiville they have a "park and fly" business that you can leave your car in an enclosed area and they will take you to the airport in a limo to the front door and then pick you up and take you back when you return and it is about the same price as leaving your car at the airport.

We've done this in San Diego at the BW Bayside on Ash. They also let our friends park there for $10/day when they drove down that day. They had a shuttle to and from the port. The hotel was close enough some even walked to it when we returned.

We've left the car at the hotel in Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale with no problems. (knock on wood)
Usually they just ask that you leave the car in one of the outer rows of parking and not right next to the hotel, so that guests actually staying at the hotel while you are gone, can park near their rooms.
Just do some research for the area your hotel is in.
We stayed at La Quinta in Fort Lauderdale. I had originally booked a hotel a couple of blocks over and found out that it was big difference in just those 2 blocks.
There are quite a few options in Port Canaveral right in a row, with a view of the ships a couple of miles away. (I forget off the top of my head which hotel we stayed at in Port Canaveral, but most cruisers stay there. I'm sure somebody else will have the name)
Does anyone know of a hotel that does this around Port Canaveral?
We stayed at the Radisson last year near Port Canavral. I am thinking the price was around 90 or so, (maybe a little more) not sure though. They have stay and park as well as free shuttle to the port. You just leave a tip if you wish for the shuttle. Our vehicle was fine when we returned.
