Can anyone tell me if Destiny has been sailing away on time?

HI... We left on time and had a wonderful cruise! I agree w/Cutiecat and wish we were going to! We have to wait until 1/25/10 to go on our next cruise on the Destiny again. That is a long time away. Enjoy your cruise.

I was on Destiny last week and it did sail on time.

We did 2 five day back to backs in February. The first sailing left late, but there was a big snowstorm on the east coast that day and some planes were delayed. The second sailing left right on time.

Good deal - we were late leaving in October and I was hoping they had the kinks worked out. CutieCat - just keep me in the loop for 2010 cruises - we might just have to finally cruise together. I'm going with a menagerie of girls on May 14th so if you're not doing anything and they have any last minute deals, GO!!! This is a budget trip and our cabins are on the Riviera deck 2274 is my cabin.

I can feel the warmth of the Cozumel sand and the warm water already! Can't wait to bar hop in Key West. I tried my clothes on from this past fall and last May and they still fit - hallelujah!!!!

On Dec.11, 2008 I was one glad passenger of the Carnival Destiny that she didn't meet her assisgned departure. I was flying out of New Orleans that day, and while awaiting to leave it started to snow. As most of you can gather, New Orleans isn't prepared for snow. The planes were being de-iced, something totally new in my phrase book. Well, we had to get off the plane and wait. We finally left at 1pm est. From NO to FLL is 2 hrs. We landed at 3:15 pm est. I was solo and another couple did the best OJ thru the airport. To their credit before I left NO , Carnival knew we were coming. They had a private car waiting for us, which we had to pay for, and had no time to wait for our luggage. We left going down I- 95 in rain and traffic. It was 4:05 when we hit the bridge going to Dodge Island. You will never know how sweet it was to see that Carnival funnel there. Kid you not, by 4:20 we were onboard, fastest embarkation I ever had. The Destiny didn't sail until after 5 that day. It was bad weather all around that day, but never will I complain if we don't depart on time. Took years off my life that day, and yes I did have insurance.
