lounge chairs on splendor..

For anyone who has sailed on the Splendor, did you find that during sea days, was it difficult to find 2 lounge chairs? Maybe it's a dumb question. I don't think I've EVER been on a cruise where they are plentiful!

Also as far as the ship's layout, with the retractable roof was it weird? I mean, looking at the pictures it seems odd. I like to find a spot by the pool, (near the bar) and definitely OUTSIDE so I can feel the sun and the breeze and be able to peak over the railing to see the ocean. I love that. It seems like this ship may not be set up quite that way??

OK one more question....sorry...I know a lot of people may find this annoying but what about the bar servers? Are there a lot on hand offering to bring you drinks, or is it more likely we'll be making bar runs?

Yes, it was difficult to find lounge chairs on sea days! But I think that's true on any ship... There are a few bar folks that run around and take drink orders around the pools, but you'll probably still make a few runs yourself - they didn't seem to come around very often... The retractable roof isn't too wierd - we had rough seas on the way back to Long Beach and they closed it and it made it much nicer in there actually cuz it cut down the wind that was blowing all your stuff around, but you still get the sun coming through.

Just completed 49 day cruise on the Splendor and on the warm days would suggest you look at aft pool first for lounge chairs. Also you can always find chairs beside the slide where there is a small pool and hot tub.No trouble getting a drink however I have found out many times better to go up to the bar and in particular for thr special drinks and I will always ask them to make from scratch rather from thr pre mixed which have very little booze in them.also get these drinks in regular glass rather than costly fancy one half the price.
