Default Tampa - Valet or Not?

Any idea what the difference in cost is between self park and valet? If you have used the valet service in the past was it worth it? We are 7 women cruising....and of course we have A LOT of luggage. And I expect we will all be wearing our cutesy espadrille heals.

I've never used the Valet Parking at Tampa, but as I recall it's about $20 extra. It might be worth it if you're wearing those heals, but the parking garage is pretty much across the street from where you embark. Actually, I think it's about a 1 block walk. You can make the decision when you get there, and see where the garage is, but if you split the cost among your entire group, it'll be very inexpensive!
I know you'll have a GREAT cruise out of TAMPA!

I'm not sure of the exact cost difference between valet and self park, but one thing you have to remember when you get back from your cruise you have to walk across the street to the garage with all of your luggage anyway. And if you're lucky...of course i am not, they will not lose your keys

ALso, both coming and going, you can drop off luggage, leave one or more gals to watch it, then go park. Vice versa when you get off the ship. The parking is really close and we laugh every time we see someone paying that extra money to let someone drive up a ramp to park.

Have cruised out of Tampa ywice and used the valet both times. Itis only $15 extra and in my opinion well worth those few dollars.

Drop off your luggage, turn over your keys and no worries to find a parking spot. Just go get on the ship andlwet the good times begin.

When you get back, the porter will take you to the valet parking garage (closer than the park it yourself), someone will pull your car up, help you load your luggae and off you go. Well worth 15 dollars.
