Default Glory May 16th Port of calls?

15 days to go and I have no idea where we are going due to Mexico being
cancelled! Carnival does not know yet? How are we supposed to plan excursions when we have no idea where we are going? I wonder if keeping us in the dark is their way of making back some $$ on all this mess, by forcing us to book through cruise line when we board. Imagine the crush
at the excursion desk! Trying to make the best of this disappointing change, but they are not making it any easier! The best part of cruising for me is the
port of calls. :rojavascript:emoticon('')ll:

My PVP called me yesterday and while nothing is definate "yet"...

it is "assumed" that the Glory will only do the Eastern route until Mexico is reopened.

We are on this cruise with you and we are making our plans based on Nassau, St Thomas and St. Maarten...but again NOTHING is definate.

If you are booking ship excursions, I would go ahead and book them and then you can cancel if *by some miracle* Mexico reopens by the time we sail.

If you are looking for book independent excursions, I would not until we get a set route. While mosti ndependent operators refund if the ship does not dock....not ALL of them do.

We have been to all the ports (many times) and IF we go Eastern...this will be better for snorkelers, water and beach people. It will be worse for those that were planning to do the ruins and historical stuff.

If you tell what kind of excursions are you looking at, I might be able to give you some info. If I don't know....perhaps I can help you find the answers.

Feenix I seriously doubt that Carnival is deliberately trying to keep anyone in the dark re/ these itin. changes in order to make an extra buck. I'm sure in the long run it will end up costing them more than it would have if they could have maintained a normal schedule.
First of all, it's not like they had months to plan for these itin. changes--they basically had days to plan. Factor in the number of ships they ( Carnival ) has and too, factor in the number of all the ships from the different cruise lines that are having to change itins. and I think you can begin to get a picture of the scope of work involved.

And just so no one runs out of things to worry about, hurricane season starts in a month so itin. changes may be fairly common here in the not too distant future!!
Relax and roll with it--all will be well in the long run.
