Luggage...can we check several pieces? Why bring a cooler?
Are cruise ships like airlines? Can you just check one piece? I want to bring a cosmetic bag and a suitcase. I would really like to bring a giant rolling bag I have, but am worried about lifting it out of my car to shuttle it over to the ship? How does that work? I'm thinking I'll need to bring lots of clothes to choose from, because this is my first cruise, and I really don't know what to expect.
That's why I don't know why I read on some message board that someone wanted to know if a cooler could be checked. I thought coolers couldn't be brought on board.....and why would they be needed...I thought cold drinks were available everywhere on shipboard...and how could you carry one around on shore?
Please help this excited novice!
There is no limit on the amount of luggage you can take.. As for getting the luggage out of your car that depends upon where you choose to park, some lots will transport you and your luggage or the porters will help you at the cruise terminal if you unload your luggage and then go park. Just be sure and tip the porters or anyone else that helps you with your luggage. You can take a collapsable cooler but I never saw the need...
