Default Have you ever had your drinks burst in your bag/ luggage?

I am really basing a lot of my ideas - packing - what to carry - what to do - on the opinions of this board. ( *kiss kiss* ) Well my husband has a friend that has been on several cruises - and is telling us that we need to carry on any sodas or waters - b/c they are really rough with the luggage.

I REALLY don't want to have to lug around this big ol bag of stuff while we are "exploring" the ship.

What do you guys think?

We are planning on taking 6 pk of diet mnt dew and 6 pk of water.

We have packed it in our checked luggage on our 4 cruise without any problem. We seperate them, and pack them in between clothes fo padding. That is not to say it cant happen, just our experience.

I always take a soft sidded cooler with us. I pack all of our bathroom supplies in it in our luggage. When we get to our cabin we have our cabin steward keep it filled with ice. It works very well for us.

I am sure you will enjoy your cruise.

I usually have one bag that has all soda/drinks/water/etc in it. I line the bag with towels and wrap "special bottles" in baggies...
Take you documents/jewels/change of clothes with you and pack the rest.

Never had a can burst yet. Let me find some wood to knock on. We now use the small plastic bottles of soda. You can reseal those if you don't drink it all at one time.

Here's an idea - Put your cans in gallon size ziplock bags inside your luggage. If they burst (which has never happened to me) it will be in the bag - also most ppl suggest taking baggies on board anyway, so this way you've got your bags
