Hi, Carnival Spirit staff lost my luggage at debarkation. i placed it outside my room with the appropriate tag as indicated, but it did not make it to the pier by the time it was time to leave. They have been no help in trying to track it down, and since I did not buy their insurance, they seem to have no interest in providing further information to me. I am wondering if anyone has successfully filed a claim for reimbursement if they did not buy insurance from the cruiseline. They claim their liability is limited to $50. I find it ludicrous that i have to pay them extra to do their job as I already paid for the cruise and for an excursion on debarkation day that included the supposed transfer of my luggage to the tour bus (that never happened, as they could not find my luggage when the bus had to leave). I am livid as I had to spend a week at a resort in HI with the clothes on my back, as i was waiting for the suitcase to be found and shipped to me. any thoughts?
