Carnival Splendor (3 days of towing back to port)
Hit $1300 on a nickel Jackpot Party. My excitement kinda fizzled when I had to give info so they could take taxes. Thought it was all free in international waters, but not so!!! But was glad anyway, paid for my week. Hit $800 on another cruise on video poker.

If you are American, they must declare it. Pays to know a friendly Canadians who you can ask to take the winnings (it's tax free in Canada) and give him a nice tip for doing so, so you don't have to pay the taxes.
I won a bit over $600... TWICE... one day apart and one machine apart. (Quarter machines) None of my friends or loved ones were around to see the first time, but managed to have someone come around the second time to see it.
Boyfriend won $2560 on a quarter machine, I think it was the 2nd day of a 5 day cruise. Got a drink from the bar, tipped very well, took $100 out and put the rest in the safe where it stayed the rest of the cruise. He wasn't taxed.
$2400 on a Carnival Cruise about 3 years ago. I usually play the quarter machines but for some reason had won two $1 coins and pout them into a double diamond machine. Immediately put it in the safe and paid for another cruise with it. However, since then I have put a lot more that what I won in the slots. But That's part of my vacation plan. Love to cruise!
A few weeks ago I won $2,250 when I hit a Royal Flush on a .25 Progressive Poker Machine on the Conquest. I've also won $400 or so a couple of times on nickle slots. On every cruise, I win a little, but most times I just end up giving back. It's just part of my entertainment!
The "craziest" time I ever won was on the Miracle playing the PopEye Machine. It is a 30 line machine, and after playing multiple lines for a few minutes, I decided to play just 1 line x 30. Well on the first spin, I hit the Wild Cards--I think mixed with some doubles...and won 19,000 credits. I was excited thinking on this "crazy" bet, I had just won $190. No one was around at the time, so I just pushed the chair up against the machine (my sail and sign card was in the slot) and went to find my husband who was across the casino playing to tell him "how" I had just won $190 on a penny slot. I got back to my machine all my credits still there, and I suddenly realized that I was not playing a penny slot-- this was a nickle slot and I had won $950.00!!! I was really happy then. Anyway, I left the machine once more to go tell my husband that I had won $950. When I got over to him, he was laughing because he already remembered that PopEye was a nickle slot. Anyway, he told me to get back over there, before somebody decides to cash out my winnings!
About your winnings for American citizens:
U.S. Tax Laws tax casino winnings world-wide whether or not you receive a W-2G form. You can contact the Carnival Player's Club and they will provide a summary of your wins/losses on their ships for a particular period of time. It is usually mailed to you within 10 days of the request. You can use this to offset your winnings as long as you itemize.
