Can I bring my laptop?? To talk to family???

I was wondering since its a lot to talk to family on the phone.. Does the cruise ship have free internet service?? I am leaving Sunday on Pride from Baltimore. Just wondering what is the best way to talk to family with out spending more then I paid for the cruise!..
