Default There was even more to Legend 5-3 sailing for us

Like everyone else, we knew Mex was out, disapointed yes, but it was our honeymoon and no time to rebook.....Before we even knew of the Roatan cancelation, Carnival screwed up our shore excursion in Belieze. Whether it was due to the overcrowding of Belize (2 other Carnival ships in Port) or "re positioning the tender" as they claimed, we missed our big tour the Raiders--out to rain forest all day for adventure. Seems the tour company left without 20 of us since we were late (we were all on the ship under carnivals exit directions). Carnival finally informed us we would get a full refund NO KIDDING...now it was late to do anything and we had on sneakers, long pants etc no swimsuits....a few of us did manage to get someone to drive us 3 hrs for 45min of zip lining. When we got back to the ship found out no Roatan and Carnival informed s we would get an additional $125 shipboard credit - they were goingto comp us for Roatan..
And so sorry for the ill passenger, but we live in Clearwater, so we spent the afternoon looking at our home beaches after they removed her.
We were very disapointed and bored out of our minds for FOUR days at sea. We could of stayed home in Fl and laid at the pool. We dont care for the "entertainment" big slappin bellies. I have been on half a dozen cruises and this one sucked and so does Carnival. My sister got this crazy idea to get married in St Thomas next yr and have us all go on the new Dream...I am taking a plane and spending my next tropical vacation on firm ground sightseeing....

Wow what a shame... it does seem a land based trip is your best bet... some would enjoy the cruise regardless of where it went.

Agreed for some, however we are so lucky to live on beautiful Clearwater Beach beautiful white sand beaches, palm trees and resorts everwhere, we can get drunk at the pool and listen to reagge every day....but we dont have a coral reef or rain forest and true, no room service. ( we do have mega buffets and much better, fresher seafood, a boat and private islands...I know wha wha wha, sorry to complain) My husband is a pilot and me an outside sales rep and we got married the night before and only 30 min from Tamp cruise port so it made sense for an no brainer, no airport, no driving vacation.
Carnival is just that, a circus. we know the contract, but the tour screw up was unexceptable and the ship was just plain boring after 4 days. The crew was exhausted without their time off . Good thing we were on our honeymoon and like each other!!
