Greetings from Tampa Bay
We just booked a trip on the Glory ( our second trip on this ship) I need to make our room selection and would appreciate some advice. We have a wide selection from veranda to higher level decks. Our first trip on the Glory we were up top near the bridge..long walk to and from lido and pools.. we are thinking veranda this time.. question is… veranda deck is it Noisy ? since we are under the lido?

for the poster who asked about being underneath the lido deck --- was under it on one of our cruises, princess I think. But now that I'm thinking was also on Carnival Legend - noisy at night on both of those. Tables being moved to clean and on the legend people running - sounded like a darn stampede. I would suggest one more floor down. Let's put it this way - if you have a balcony you're view of the ocean is the same no matter what floor or location you are at; just choose a cabin based on closeness to elevators, or theatre, or food - hope this helps. We did hit the hay at midnight or just before every night and this noise generally started in at 1 a.m.

We just sailed the Glory last week and had a BLAST!!

If you are into the Piano Bar scene...you are in for a treat. We have sailed with Russell before and he is a hoot. Tell him Linda said HI!!

Ryan is an EXCELLENT CD. Dan (ACD) is great. SoulDrive is the Rock band in the lounge on Deck 4 (outside the restaurant). They are super.
The guitarist is wicked!!!

Food and service was great.

Melissa is the karaoke host. She is new (only her second contract).

You will have a great cruise!!

Default Carnival Glory

We just returned from Glory - what a blast we had. And you're right about the piano bar - Russel was absolutely the best! We spent every night in there with him. One night some of the passengers had a Toga party - we had so much fun. I'm ready to do it all again!

I'm going through a let down right now realizing I'm back in the real world now.

Russel is one of my favorites!!!!!

He is one of the few piano bar entertainers that I would book a cruise just to sail with!!!
