Default What's open on port days?

The DH and I usually are out and about on port days, however, we're contemplating spending some time on the ship this next go round. (We're just not that into Montego Bay). I know the spa will have some specials.

What about dining options? Are the dining rooms open, or is it just the buffet and the Lido deck? TIA for any info.

Only things that normally close on port days are the casino and the shops. They pretty much open up as soon as you leave a port. The dining rooms should be open, may-be not for lunch, but everything else is operating as usual.

Dining room should be open for lunch but will probably be a little more limited than normal (shorter hours and one seating vs 2)

Take it from one who almost never leaves the ship. The dining room is almost ALWAYS closed for lunch while the ship is in port, but of course, the buffet is open, and NO LINES! The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) and I find it a perfect time to relax on deck, with any deck chair you want, enjoy the spa, or the gym, and really enjoy the day. Many, many times, I run into members of the entertainment staff during these "down time" days, and enjoy visiting with them. It's just a GREAT time to relax aboard ship.

One note to that... ships staying late in Nassau will (at least Carnival) open the casino at 7pm.
