beach umbrellas in the Key West & Cozumel beach excursio

I'm considering the southernmost beach excursion in Key West and the Playa Mia Beach Party Deluxe in Cozumel. My only concern is that I want to be assured of beach umbrellas to keep me out of the sum when I'm in the lounge chair.. I'm not a sit in the sun persoin but I will spend a little time wading in the ocean and going up or down a little bit collecting sea shells and sea glass.

Whether they are includes or there is an extra fee - are there enough that I'm assured to get one?

Thanks.

Plenty of umbrellas at Playa Mia. Key West is not much of a beach day port. Can't help you there.

Arriving early is always the best way to ensure you get one but when we were there in Feb 09 there were plenty.

We have a few pics of Play Mia and the umbrella/seating/eating area (as well as the in cabin safe you were asking about) at

Hi Michelle,

We just came back from Destiny on May 18th. I think you'll love the Playa Mia Beach Break in Cozumel. We did the train and trolley tour. As for Key West, see if you can take a taxi or something to get to Hibb's beach next to Casa Marina Resort and Beach House. I took some pictures and this is a public beach and it looks like you can rent whatever you need there such as umbrellas and kayaks. If my husband and me go back to Key West, this is where we will be spending the day. Since we missed Cozumel because of the flu thing, we got to stay in Key West until 4:30 pm. It was awesome to have that much time there before our day at sea and stop in Nassau. If your port stop is only 7am to 2pm. I would suggest going to the Southernmost Cafe and Beach. The water is baylike but it's a nice little place to get some sun, a reasonable lunch and a drink. They have lounge chars, umbrellas and palm trees... Have a great trip!

My favorite beach club in Cozumel is Nachi Cocom Beach Club they have lots of palapa unbrellas, best beach on the island and there is a lot to do or nothing to do if you prefer:-)

Nice pool and the best drinks and food. Check it out before you book, its the best
