How many Carnival ships have done 49 day cruises? Most of you are posting on 7 day or less. Splendor just completed in March around South America and all I can say is wow for the entire trip.My opinion is that they should look at competing in those cruise longer than 7 days in order to find a new niche in the total marketing arena.Ask those who were on this trip what they thougt.

Me and the lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) prefer any of the "Spirit" class ships, with my absolute favorite being "Miracle". Any of the "Conquest" class would be 2nd in my book. "Triumph" was excellent this year as well.....Oh what the heck,,,I love 'em all. I'm anxious to sail "Dream", but haven't booked her yet...
My favorite Carnival ship is always the NEXT one I sail on

We love Carnival-our family has been on the Victory, on the Valor (twice) both Eastern and Western itineraries, and we will soon sail on the Freedom this August! We can't wait! We have to say so far, the Valor is our favorite. A beautiful ship, great staff, and easy to get around!
A great family vacation!
I've not sailed all the Carnival ships, but of the present fleet I prefer the Conquest and Destiny. Of all the Carnival ships, my favorite will probably always be the Mardi Gras. She had a personality you cannot find on the new floating hotels. Aw, the memories...........

We sailed twice on the Paradise out of Miami when it was still non-smoking, and it is still our favorite. I like the Fantasy class ships better than the new ones; they seem to be more "manageable" to me, and not so huge that it's confusing getting around.
We agree w/Jomo in that we remember the excitement of our first cruise on the Carnivale!! That was an exciting cruise for us!! We do like the Destiny now. We like her size and the ports on one of her five night packages.
Please supersize my ship. I like the Freedom. I can't wait to try out the Splendor. My Freedom cruise was a 14 day transatlantic cruise and it was a blast. 5 sea days full of fun. Marcus Anthony rocks, he did a concert on the lido deck under the stars that was so great.

Pride, Legend and Miracle - but alas they're the only ones we've been on. Definitely agree next ship is always your favorite. We sailed the pride when she was brand new and it was our first cruise. It was a "WOW" experience and hooked us forever. The legend and miracle are sister ships so it's been great to already know the layout of the ship. My mom just came off Glory who is a year older than the Miracle (mom was on our cruise on the miracle last year). She said the two were very similar, knowing that they are conquest and spirit classes respectively. I'm looking forward down the road to boarding the dream or freedom

Hi Spacewoman the Dream and Splendor are new designs not part of the Conquest or Spirit class ships. In fact the Splendor has an enclosed pool and a Thalassotherapy pool the conquest ships don't have that. I would love to book a 4S cabin to have unlimited use of the Thalassotherapy pool on Splendor. I believe the Dream will also have a Thalassotherapy Pool. They are wonderful. If I had to pick between the Dream or the Freedom I would be the Dream either a 4S or an 8S room for the thalassotherapy pool. I'm not sure if they have a cat 6S? anyone know?

Have to agree with this sentiment. I would say however, that the Fascination has been our least favorite. Loved it because we were on the cruise but the layout left something to be desired. But as the ships get newer, they get better because we do not have any of those complaints on the 2 newer boats we have been on nor do I feel we will on the Victory in Jan 2010.
The Conquest because it was our first.
The Holiday because of her character and we will miss her.
And the Triumph because we will cruise her next.

Way back in 1999 we made our first cruise ever with Carnival to Alaska (cruise tour and southbound) on the Jubilee. Yes, that was a long time ago. However since it was our first cruise we have a fond spot in our hearts for her. She was a bit worn, a little bit of rust here and there but the crew more than made up for it. As first time cruisers we were really awed by it all. A couple of years later we decided to return to Alaska again this time northbound. The Jublilee had been taken off the Alaska run and replaced with the Spirit. Wow, that was some difference. And then we did the Panama Canal repositioning on the Spirit (San Diego to Miami). Since then more cruises on Carnival. I have to say that the Spirit (and the Spirit class) ships are our favorites. And now that we are retired in Florida it is ever so easy to drive to Tampa, Port Canaveral and even Port Everglades. I know this is long winded so I'll wrap up by saying favorite ships: Jubilee followed by Spirit. And just maybe the next cruise might be our favorite .
Have only been on two cruises and both ships were nice. Would have to say the Valor is the best so far.

The Legend. I'm not a fan of the bigger ships, but I too wish Carnival would offer some longer cruises. We switch to HAL for those, but I'm not sure whether HAL is my favorite because of the ships or the itineraries.
