Default Conquest June 7

My family of 5 are almost ready to cruise (Boys Age 3, 7 and 10.) I have a few questions on this cruise:

Are there any suggestions on excursions both for family and adult only?

Any non-Carnival excursions anyone would recommend? Like take a cab somehere or awesome restaurants I can't miss in Grand Caman?

Anyone else with kids going?

It has been a while since I've been cruisin and my first with kids. Any suggestions will help especially for fun and helpful for finances.

Thanks for your suggestions.

My family and I are also going on the Conquest on June 7th! We really haven't picked any of our excursions, though we are definitely booking through Carnival for any Montego Bay excursions. For Grand Cayman, we're willing to do non-Carnival excursions. I'm really leaning toward the dolphin swim at Montego Bay, but we'll probably just decide as we go..we don't like to plan much when we're on vacation. The only thing we are "for sure" doing is eating at "The Reef Grill" in Grand Cayman, we have family friends who rave about it every time they travel to GC.

For the excursions, when I glance through them my only advice would be that some of them have long rides, specifically the kid-oriented ones (such as the Waterpark with a 75 minute drive to get there). I don't know how your kids are with riding, but I would say that wouldn't be something I would want to do with children, personally, lol.

My parents are in their late 40s, and my brother and I are both 18, recently graduated. To get an idea of more ages of people going on the cruise, here's another thread to glance through: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=904473. Seems like there will be a lot of kids!

I will be on that cruise. We have a group of nine ranging in ages from 12 to 65. We have been on the Conquest before. Last time, in Montego Bay, we booked the river raft through islandexcursions.com, and it was great. We then went to Magaritaville, which was OK. We closed out the day at the Straw Market, which I do not recommend. We are planning this time to take the bus across to Dunns River Falls. We went there in the fall, but we ported in Ocho Rios. My wife wants the kids to see that. We have been to Grad Cayman two times. The Paradise Grill, right around the corner from the ship (walking distance), has some great snorkeling. You can rent the gear there and ease into the water. It is in the top five on that island. In the fall, we went to Stingray City and the coral garden (snorkeling). Both of those were wonderful. At Grand Caymen I would definitely wait until you get off of the ship to get your excursions.
