Cozumel walking distance

We are planning on going to Paradise beach in Cozumel...is there shopping with in walking distance (shells, souvenirs ect...) if not how long of a taxi ride into town? Thanks

I believe there are a few small shops at the beach... There is plenty of shopping wherever you dock.

Paradise Beach is nice.

Taxis are about a $6 $7 ten minute ride to downtown. Plenty of shopping there. There is shopping at the pier but going downtown is fun too with lots more options.

I can assume you will be on a Carnival ship for the day in Cozumel. The Puerta Maya pier area has PLENTY of shopping right off the pier. Anything and everything you could want is there. Many shops are the same as the ones in Punta Langosta shopping mall. I can't say anything about the beach, but when you go back to get on the ship the shops are there for you to spend your hard-earned cash!!! I did buy a conch shell from a cart vendor at the pier area, so look around and you may find a vendor selling shells.

If you are lucky enough to dock at Punta Langosta....your shopping is right there.

And a taxi to any of the Beach Resorts (Paradise Beach ~ my favorite)
will be $15.00 one way for up to 4 people. If you are just one couple...do not be shy about splitting a taxi with another couple and save the money!

BUT if you dock at Canrival's pier (Puerto Maya)...again there is lots of shopping right at the pier...but a taxi will be $7 to downtown and about $12 to Paradise Beach.

You can walk to downtown (4 miles). Hubby and I did it in January...but we walk 4 miles a day for exercise...so it was no big deal to us. There are sidewalks all the way.
